About
I work with abstract imagery to convey my interest in communicating emotional states and feelings. These interior landscapes are built through constructions of photographic and digitally captured imagery. I combine pixels drawn from photographs using a painterly process and then reproduce the images as prints -- a melding of three traditional art forms. My art is meant to be experienced as a feeling that may conjure up a past memory, an undefined sense of the familiar or a new, yet somehow appealing, expression. I work hard at creating a beautiful surface, even when working with difficult subject matter, so as to offer imagery of lasting intrigue.
